My girlfriend just got the sweetest sachs and some potato gratin

Sorry it's been so long, but I've been busy!!!
First and foremost, i finally tried to make something a little more elegant and fuck it was good. probably the best. Super savory and pulled like eight servings. So rich it put my entire house to sleep while we tried to watch a movie.

Oh yeah, and maggie got a sachs. It was a steal at 400 bucks and the kid though it had a bad unfixable exhaust leak when the decomp hole just needed some fiddlin. We took the side covers of for ultra aggressive styling. Totally fresh, we took some metal cleaner and soap and got her all pretty ricky :

She kinda needs a new helmet, I mean it looks cool but its super outdated and will probably kill her if she crashes.

Pretty little thing, after a carb clean and fixing the decomp hole it kinda ripped for a 505-a. Sturdy, cushy ride that will last a million miles. SWEET! Also note: COASTER BRAKES AHHHH. Siqq.
It was pretty funny to take the exhaust on and off over and over again with Brian trying to seal an exhaust clamp that wasn't leaking. All she needs now is a few minor this and she'll be ridin with the pack before I am.

This is how she looked from out of the barn we got it from. You can probably imagine how pleasantly surprised we were.

In celebration, we made some potato gratin, gumbo and biscuits. Super decadent.

Potato au Gratin.

chop up some savoy cabbage, a whole head. leave out the core you fucking retard (sorry). the outer leaves are also pretty hard digest so I'd leave those out. Turn on a skillet and fry up some bacon. I used liked five stripes cut into half inch chunks. When its browning throw some salt and pepper and a table spoon of butter. after its all melty throw the savoy cabbage and cover it with the liquidy goodness. i add a tablespoon of butter cut up into fours on top to make sure everything gets nice and shiny.

Butter up a pan. slice some potatoes and put them in a bowl with a cup of heavy cream and grate some of that sexy sexy parm. Get the good shit, who do you think you are, Chris?

Make a layer with that mixture and grate a nice layer of snow on top of that. and do it again. then throw that cabbage shit on top. a layer of snow and two more layers of that potato junk. top it off with the rest of that wedge of parm, two cups of heavy cream and the rest of the cream you mixed those potatoes in. bake in an oven preheated to 450 and leave it in for an hour. covered. in aluminum. take the aluminum like ten minutes before its done and it might turn out like this if you're lucky.

"LETS GET DECADENT."

Rain. Raein.

Today was pretty ugly outside and the garage we rent out leaks a TON from the ceiling. So all i could really do is move the bikes around to avoid the oncoming flood. I did start the yamaha and she kicked right over.

I instead got a ticket for rolling through a stop sign, so I'm a hundred bucks further from getting a big motorcycle.

upside-Made the best fish and chips ever...

It was just feeding me and sean so we just bought two catfish filets, two russets and two red potatoes. We tried to cut them into planks but we were only working with butterknives. it was retarded and i blame sean completely for having a worthless kitchen (but a new gas stove which was cranked up to like 4-5 hundo at the time to get real hot with the pan in). We wound up with completely non uniform potato chunks (sean), but four was definately WAY too many potatoes.

cover them in some olive oil , coarse black peppa some salt and a handful of rosemary. be pretty liberal with all of them but i mean, don't go crazy. spread em thighs on the pan, listen to that awesome crackle and sizzle. throw it in, leave the oven light on and watch it. DON'T open the stove like that idiot sean.

oh, this whole time your filets should have been soaking in milk. (butter milk? coconut milk? malk? nah we just used regular milk and it was still pretty damn good)
beat some eggs in one dish, make a spice rub (garlic powder, salt, pepper, minced garlic and a tea or tablespoon of cumin i dunno i didn't measure it)  in another and then figure something for the breading(we used flour and panko crumbs).
Fill the cast iron with enough peanut oil (this is actually kind of specific due to the high smoke temperature....SCIECNE!)
when the oil gets hot enough, pull out your kitchen thermometer and make sure its at 375, just kidding. just throw some flour in and see if it fries thoroughly within a few seconds.
dip a piece of fish into the egg, then the spice then the flour/breadcrumb then drop it in the oil. hot oil.
lift up a cutlet and if its a little more than tan then flip it. I fit about five each batch, but im poor and had to steal my moms cast iron skillet from her.
when its done, throw it in a collander to let the oil out. your potatoes are probably done. they need a tiny bit more salt and peppa. throw everything together and hit it with half a lemon and some vinegar. serve with water and basket case because you have to go to work in like fifteen minutes.

Let's get decadent.

Did I tell you that I got a derbi?
It's been carting me and Maggie around for a bit and i can't explain how incredibly janky it is. Complete piece of shit, but a motor that won't die. Looks like i bought it for  eighty bucks, but really i bought it for eighty seven. Fast as hell stock and rips up hills doubles.
Yes. I have a running moped again.

I pulled out the Yamaha today. I slipped on the carb real tight and ran some new fuel like. Fifteen seconds later i was racing up and down the alley. I missed that thing, so beefy and so quick. I realize now that the tank is pretty dirty but luckily i have some evporust. That thing is the next thing to live. I'm thinking about throwing on some clubmans and pulling a ton of the excess shit off of it and making it exactly what it should be. Alright, so I'm copying off nash a bit. suck it.

wait. TWO RUNNING BIKES? I'm on a roll.

Dinner:
 Crawfish baked mac and cheese.

Preheat your oven to 400. You want it roaring hot. In the meantime Cook two boxes of macaroni  and set the powdered shit off to the side. I generally like that powdered cheese but I had a ton of the good stuff so I just saved it for later. I did mine in boiling water for five minutes, letting the macaronis only cook halfway. in that five minutes cube and grate four cups of any mixture cheese. I used habanero cheddar and an extra sharp cheddar. Butter up whatever pan you're using. I used cast iron. Because cast iron is amazing. There should be more cylinders made from cast iron. shit is bulletproof. Grab your crawdish, put some lemon juice and some green onions and let that chill out for a bit. Eat some of it. It tastes great. I threw in some ceyanne and paprik to that mix. in a small bowl mix three eggs, two cups of milk and two tablespoons of whatever you think is good. I used one old bay and another paprika. And a pinch of cayenne and a handful of salt and pepper.

But I'm riskier than you.

Layer the macaroni in the bottom of your pan. then layer the crawfish. then three cups of cheese and mix it a tiny bit. but not too much. Actually just put in two cups. mix it then put the rest of the cheese on top. work fast, like when you're using liquid gasket on the base mating surfaces. pour on the egg/milk/season mixture. cover with like half a cup or a cup of breadcrumbs and the leftover cheese

toss it in, let it sit for five minutes then turn it down to 375.

you have a half hour. go smoke a cigarette and make sure your derbi runs.

open the oven. is it bubbly up top? is it brown too?. perfect.

eat it. (with collard greens and sleepytime iced tea while watching batteries not included.)

ok. so the e50 is almost rebuild, pulled off all the electronics and wiring and other horseshit i didn't need. complete redo. looks nice so far.

peugeot has a shiny new intake AND carb. and i actually got it to run for a bit. its still QUICK. super quick with the 16.16. i should probably give that the whole redo thing too.

i picked up a hobbit. rebuilt the carb and am starting the redo.

lots of time on my hands, shiny new garage. dirty bikes. perfecto!!!!!

hmmm oops.

got the puch polini running before it became all FUCKED. wobbly stator, thought i seized going 0mph. it was terrible. cheap, easy fix just takes time.

peugeot 103 rigid close to running atleast, might take a little long to really get blasting but i'm happy enough to have it. gotta try and get it running before whiskey biz.

but i did buy something new...atleast put a down on it.

a fucking yamaha g6s. MOTORCYCLE. i know, who woulda guessed but its an awesome little thing. big as a moped, manual shift and pretty damn quick. its in great shape and runs like a champ, love it already.

its so awesome, so fun and so loud. two stroke! new daily rider.

to buy list
-new stator for the e50
-throttle and brake assembly for the peugeot
-forks for the peugeot
-spark plugs
-choke cables for the g6 and the peugeot
-grips. lots of new grips for all bikes.
-decomp for the 103
-new lights for the 103

I may have solved all my problems....

hmmm. So I'm starting to talk to kenny. His birthday is coming up. We always talked about going on a road trip. I have a moped waiting for me in North Carolina and its right before spring break. its soon, but not terribly soon.

this could work. I'd have to get a moped hitch and some tie downs. renting a hotel is going to be fairly cheap and the white line riders whom i do not know are down there.
-moped car hitch
-money
-motel room
-booze
-tie down straps
-sha sha sha caarb peugeot party
WOW THIS IS AN EASY ONE

this is probably going to happen. we're going to zip around north carolina and probably just spend alot of time relaxing which is what i could really use nowadays.

oh yeah...e50  is almost done.

With tax returns comes treating myself...

I BOUGHT A PEUGEOT 103 RIGID EURO STYLE.

now the only problem is gettting it home frmo NC. atleast its paid for and I'm trusting sir motobrokane but i feel like he's a trustworthy fella. I'm probably going to try and snag some bike boxes, or a refridgerator box and size it down a bit. I'm really pumped being brians 103 is the most ripper i have ever ridden! i blew my pants off. I'm excited to dump a bunch of money into variators, paint, new bars, water cooled kits and lunch levers! sorry. i meant launch levers.

only problem- euro style forks, its ugly, needs a new carb and its stuck in NC. God it needs a sharp paint job. hooray!

my maxi is almost done, i cleaned up those bars to the best of my ability and they look sharp. I bought all the things i need. seals (art), allen bolts, a new dremel bit hooray! now i just gotta piece this thing together and im blaaassstttiiinn. I hope to finish it up this week. I'm truly sick of looking at my helmet stuffed in a bag.

everyone is mad at me.

love lost

I lost someone really close to me and his memorial was friday. It was really rough all week knowing what happened and I'm kind of having a hard time coping. the service was beautiful and it was amazing seeing all those people in the same room. half of them fucking hate each other.

After the reception Schwieeener and i hung out and got snowstranded at his house. food and pizza and i watched all the mad max's, motorcycle documentaries and a whole slew of movies before finally making any effort to leave at like five pm.

TREATS CAME FRIGID. it was cold and a trek to get them from the mailbox but way way way totally worth it. my control set up is 90% done and my new cables are slck. the new headlight and headlight grill are also slick. also: new shocks are slick. almost got my seat mounted up but its fucked. but i think i can get it to work. Brian is selling me his malossi 4 petal for mad cheap! slick!!!!

Oh. i saw minus the bear and maps and atlases on thursday. it was slick.

snow still sucks.

A nice end to a rough week.

I'm starting to learn the peril of being a moped rider/tuner.
Not having a runner has led me to have the worst morning of my life. Straight out of a romance movie.
Borrow Brian's awesome Derbi which I am having bad luck with. The throttle cable slipped from the knarp twice and it might be a simple fix and everything, i just don't know what I did wrong! It also made me miss my first philosophy quiz, with no chance of making it up. I gotta work extra hard in this class now. Today I was running a few errands the exhaust screw was coming out and i think I may have broke it. I key'd it back in but now the right crank won't clear the pipe. also: I'm still buggin over that pedal. FUCK.

I think I will be fine. These are nice people I'm dealing with. I'm learning a handful about roadside repairs and now regularly keep a modest toolkit with me. I just want to be able to fix this thing, I feel bad.

Now now, before I get all dramatic. There are plus sides:
My new crank and throttle came yesterday! With extra treats! foreign cassette tapes fuck yeah!
I had Lizzy and Natasha over for lizzy's birthday. I think we cuddled.
Wensday was the day of new bearings. Thanks fastenal!
My speech went over well!
I just ate a huge curry catfish sandwich and lazied and watched Futurama. I'm going over to DREWZ to do who knows what. I'm gonna try and get him to wrench around the clock with me.

Time to clean this filthy apartment!

suuuuper boring third shift

I kind of miss third shift. I get all my shit done as fast as I can and just chill for the rest of the time. LIKE I'M DOING NOW. Also, lots of time to get my brain going. I decided if i do get this SSXL to go for a gunmetal/mirrored polish show bike look. It's already kitted and just needs a carb and pipe so the project is going to be completely cosmetic. I've been spending a lot of time looking at tutorials for polishing and painting metal. The idea is totally inspired (stolen) from the awesome shiny magnum cafe racer build by 1977 mopeds. That's kind of the build that first got me into mopeds.

Speaking of getting into mopeds: I think i talked Kenny into getting one. I even got a number out of him. Less than four hundred will get him a great ped and as much as he isn't interested in tuning or modding I'm sure I can still get him to wrench. It would probably make things easier for a workspace too....hmm. Yes I am an evil genius. I said i was brilliant, I didn't say if it was for for dark or light magic...

My speech is due Tuesday morning and i don't even know what to do it. I might just get it it over with on mopeds.

I've honestly done nothing on this shift for an hour. its great. I might be tired but every time I think about how after my shift I'm going to take a nap and go meet Drew to do some case matchin. it will be sweet and i will finally learn how to dremel. Oh, i also get to see this ssxl i've been daydreaming over.

My room is cozy now that i have all my shit and infinite amounts of comics and movies and shitty furniture. Me loves it.

UPDATE: CASES = MATCHED.

Had a rough monday morning, super rough.I got out of work late off third shift and missed my bus, it was pouring and windy and i broke my umbrella flip flop movie style. I got splashed by four cars. My bus driver wouldn't take my money because it was wet.

BUT- I woke up from my nap, went over to Drews. Shot the shit then learned how to case match, FROM A MASTER. We also ported my polini intake. I'm getting a sweet seat and a pair of bars off him, which is going to rule and cross two things off my TO buy list.
downside- Treats ran out of my malossi intake. I might have to wait, or just slap the two petal on just to ride. or maybe I will take my time. who knows.

Brian let me borrow his derbi. it fucking rules and rips and i lost a pedal and feel really bad. Which ones should i get him for replacement? i want him to tell me. It appears they are rare. I feel bad.

My wisdom teeth are coming in. I want a moped to work on while I'll be sick and stuck at home.

I'm brilliant.

More on that later.

Last night was FUN. I miss a van full of gross, sweaty dudes and some dainty chicks. I find myself in the middle. Good times.

The show was pretty packed and the kids are weird. I felt old and dumb after watching them get fucked up outside the venue. John Fonda played! i finally saw those dudes. they are funny and sweet and they have babes.

I was totally afraid i was going to shop talk mopeds with Brian and Dandon the whole time. But I didn't. I am good.

After the show Kenny and I watching FUCKIN SHAZAMMM and then DELTA FORCE 2 until like five in the morning. it was good.
I also came up with the BRILLIANT IDEA  to ask about Kennys parents trinket shop. More specifically the basement: it would be really easy to convert into an awesome moped workshop. Big cellar doors for easy access, its dirty and grimy and needs a clean. It's pretty big and there's also a big foundation of what used to be a farm. for messes! I'm liking the idea of this and I hope it could work. My brain is already moving:
-Moped work bench
-Drafting table small parks work bench
-DIY small parts blasting booth via instructables
-DIY tarp/canvas spray booth
-Large parts blasting camping tent station of power
-Cheap over for baking parts! yeah 420420
It'll take work and time, but the end of the semester is right around the corner. I should probably wait till I get my second project though!

I'm finally moved out of Ruby Street thank you Molly and Kenny. Can't wait to get my new room all set up foxy like.

Subconsciously, my brilliant mind made me buy my moped right around the time of taxes. I think i definitely WANT this SSXL. Since it's already kitted and just needs a carb and pipe (which i'd want to pull from a stocker anyways, right?)

PLAYTIME WITH MY HUMAN BEANS.

playtime with my newest Human Bean friend = CASES SPLIT.

After my first class (which was very very okay. this is looking to be an incredibly mediocre semester. I'm so moderate about it, words can't express my mild emotion.) Drew Bell came over and we gabbed. I think I'm going to buy his SSXL. We split my cases!

He's a weird dude. Kind of weird just inviting him over after talking for five minutes but it was a good time and i like him. I decided to go with the malossi four petal, the generic black throttle and a TREATS super stuffy crank. Another 200 bucks goes to TREATS. I'm praying ill get SWEETS this time around. hooray!
I think tomorrow I'll get around taking pictures with Chris's digital camera. nobody reads this and its for my own enjoyment anyhow.

Monday Drew and I are going to do important things with important tools and important people. planned:
-Beer
-Case matching (what an exceptional learning experience this will be)
-Intake porting (optimal speed. varoom.)
-New handlebars (another crossed off the list)
I forget what else but hopefully i won't run out of things to say

I have a speech due Tuesday and i have no clue what i want to do it on. I in fact just plain do not want to give a speech. I may implode. Maybe i should do it on how much i love american psycho. It's starting to make me realize that i don't enjoy too much and have very little personality.

Saturday I'm finally moving my shit out of Ruby St. thanks to molly. Life saver. Can't wait to get my shit out and my room all steady and ready. I like her.

Big news: Being chris maberry's little brother has its ups. He just gave me a 700 dollar express suit that makes me look fucking snazzy. Moped dress up photshoot soon enough.

hooray new blogtuctivity

And now comes the time for productivity. In factuality. that is why i am here.

+finish the puch maxi. (it's actually getting a little annoying how long it's taking. Pictures soon!)
+Calvin and Hobbes themed house (oh it will be as incredible as it sounds)

+Move out of Ruby Street completely (most annoying ever)
+All B's (super secret pact with LIZZY.)

+Bookcase exchange at IKEA (homo bookcase)

+Pat Perry room. (man that guy is good. i should probably email him)

+NEW CLOTHES (it's been a long time coming, but holy shit i need some new clothes. via- shirtsanddestroy, karmaloop, zumies and topman!)

+plan the first ride of spring to centralia! (yeah!)

//I am here on the behalf of myself. I should get more things done. The puch maxi is all cleaned up and looking pretty sharp and positive for my first build EVER. All I really need to buy are:
-new bearings and seals
-low rise bars
-sweet bmx grips
-New kill switch
-new set of handles and throttle assy
-puch long seat
-sweet new pedals
It's a good thing i have my crackpot team of human beans on my side during this. I've learned alot from brian and dandon. I wonder how annoying i'm getting. hmm. unbeknown to them i'm planning on telling them thanks by having them over for lobster mac and cheese after all this. I've made a handful of friends because of this little bike. i'm extremely happy with it.

As for the house. We're new here, our walls are empty. it's a shame really, so much room for things. So, Chris and i decided on calvin and hobbes theming it! i feel like its a good hearty decision that will remain delicious for as long as eternity. He doesn't know it, but He's hobbes. I'm calvin. I think i'm going to split it up by cells and have them printed to be secured to masonite or something cheap that isn't wood. I hate wood. I''d like to use magnets and washers
to fasten them to the wall so there are no visible fixtures, but that might just be the living room.
For the living room, we decided on..

A little cheesy, but it suits us and our new situation well.

On one of the walls outside my room I felt like this was appropriate...
I forget what he wants for the kitchen and his room. i am not perfect.

I know. lots of pictures of calvin and hobbes. no pictures of anything else. I just don't care.

++++++++
i bought minus the bear tickets, shai hulud is coming up and my new helmet comes tommorow! fuck yeah!
